Chef - Birds on the Loose

Sue Nelson is more than an accomplished home cook who from time-to-time volunteers in the kitchen at  Andrew Pern's Michelin-starred Star Inn at Harome at the foot of the North York Moors. Cooking is Sue's relaxation therapy which she's now turned to her advantage. Sue was awarded the ultimate accolade for her role in promoting Yorkshire's food and drink sector - Deliciously Yorkshire's Food Hero 2016. Also, Yorkshire Food Finder was highly commended in the prestigious White Rose Awards' Taste of Yorkshire category.

Now Sue's offering relaxed pop-up dinners for family groups and friends. Also on offer are cookery demonstrations,  accompanied by a lunch, at Yorkshire Food Finder's stunning dining kitchen near York. For inspiration in creating her own bespoke recipes that make the most of Yorkshire's abundant larder, Sue has amassed a collection of some 1,450 cookery books from around the world. Sue regularly appears on BBC Radio York as the resident food expert on the  Adam and Anna in the Afternoon show which features new recipes every month.  Now this inspiration extends to Sue cooking at Malton Cookery School's chefs table and a monthly residence at Yorkshire Ales in Snaith where the offer is a tapas style menu making full use of Yorkshire's fabulous produce.
